E-Oil is a drop-in replacement for petroleum.
Horses have long been called hay burners. We believe that you could call cars, trucks, trains and planes the same thing.
E-Oil is a revolutionary flex fuel alternative for all petroleum-based fossil fuels. It is comparable to fossil oil in energy output.
Without refining it further, E-Oil can be used for electric power generation at facilities now using petroleum. When refined, E-Oil can be made into green diesel for trains, trucks, cars and ships, green jet fuel for commercial and military aircraft, and green gasoline for all types of passenger vehicles.
Our E-Oil is CO2-neutral, virtually sulfur-free, has significantly lower NOx than fossil fuels like diesel, and no mercury. E-Oil, an excellent, environmentally-friendly alternative to petroleum fuels and can be used today in our existing worldwide power infrastructure. It’s also superior to other biofuels, because it is pollutant-free and water-free.
There are two types of E-Oil that are produced from our EPT process. The first is a dark grade bio oil. The second is a light grade bio oil that pumps, ignites, and burns well when atomized.
Frequently Asked Question About E-Oil:
1. How is E-Oil made?
E-Oil is made using NewEarth's unique proprietary EPT technology. Through this naturally occurring process of thermal decomposition the structure of the biomass material is rearranged into three separate states: solid, liquid, and gas. The liquid portion of the biomass is collected and the water is separated from the oil to get E-Oil. Although the ancient Egyptians were the first to discover thermal decomposition, NewEarth discovered new and improved ways to answer today’s energy and environmental challenges.
2. What is the source material for E-Oil?
NewEarth begins making E-Oil by cultivating certifiably grown energy crops like Nile Reed and willow. This is very important for two primary reasons. In order for NewEarth to offer low prices for E-Oil, we must control the supply of feedstock. By maintaining and cultivating certifiably grown energy crops NewEarth can guarantee an abundant, inexpensive, sustainably grown long-term supply of CO2-neutral E-Oil. The added benefit of cultivating our own sustainably grown energy crops is that it helps reduce the level of CO2 in our atmosphere.
3. What are the differences between NewEarth E-Oil and other bio-oils?
NewEarth E-Oil has virtually no water in it, allowing it to achieve a higher usable energy value. Other bio-oils frequently contain water, which reduces their accessible BTUs. By removing the water from the bio-oil, NewEarth E-Oil makes available the full energy potential of the renewable fuel.
4. Can E-Oil be used as a liquid transportation fuel alternative to fossil fuels?
Yes. It just needs to go through a refinement process.
5. Is E-Oil free of all fossil oils?
Yes. E-Oil is made of 100% biomass from sustainable non-food sources or organic forms of waste.
6. What is the calorific value of E-Oil?
31 - 35 MJ per liter.
7. What type of oil is E-Oil similar to?
No. 6 Bunker C and No. 4 oil.
8. Is it true that producing E-Oil doesn’t take away food crops?
Yes. We don’t compete with food production in any way. Our EPT process can use any form of organic material including woody biomass, sustainably grown energy crops, agricultural waste, animal waste, seaweed, algae and peat. This flexibility allows us to place our facilities in areas that can take advantage of local fuel sources. Our business model includes growing and managing our own feedstock resources to ensure accessibility and sustainability at a consistent price. |
