3. Is the BTU or energy content of E-Coal equal to regular coal?

4. What kind of boilers does E-Coal work in?
E-Coal is the ideal fuel for use in any type of coal and biomass boiler because of its unique structure and characteristics. Through our proprietary EPT process, the biomass is carbonized and the organic smoke-forming volatiles are removed so only the pure organic carbon element remains.

5. Is E-Coal significantly free of pollution?
Yes. There is no SO2. No mercury. NOx is sharply reduced because the smoke-forming volatiles are removed from E-Coal making it smokeless and odorless. The CO2 which is produced by E-Coal is a part of the natural green carbon cycle that is needed by nature to maintain life on our planet and is half the amount of regular wood, and less than 30% of the actual CO2 of fossil coal. The carbon in E-Coal is a different type of carbon. It is a "pure organic form of carbon" that is different from the grey CO2 from "fossilized carbon" that is causing the current environmental imbalance on our planet. 7. Is E-Coal easy to store and handle?
Yes. E-Coal can be mixed, stored, and processed directly with fossil coal to minimize costs. It can also be stored in the open, unlike regular biomass that needs expensive special storage conditions. E-Coal is hydrophobic and will not absorb moisture.
